A story of a family affected by addiction through fairytale.
Christmas is still a time for miracles and magic while in Croi Nua
Once upon a time Diarmuid and Grainne had a dream by their camp fire on Christmas Eve. In their dream they saw a group of four children sitting on a wall. They had heard about the nativity in Tir na Nog and to make the journey they had to cross the river of no return.
They arrive at the bridge and who should appear in front of them but Dove Keane – a slayer of dreams. In that moment there appeared in the dream a basket of magical fruit for the children of offer to the dream slayer to give them safe passage over the bridge.
When they reached the other side they were met by a fog and so the four children sat down and wondered how to proceed through the fog and mist.
Who do they hear coming across the moors but Setanta the hound, who came bounding and panting towards them, Setanta guided them through the fog. Finally the fog clears and in the distance they see a faint glow which grows stronger as they got closer to the magic of Christmas.
Diarmuid and Grainne awoke from their dream on Christmas morning.
