Resolutions are more easy, when the time-frame's far away, Admitting of the past is harder, When our ego held full sway.
Made a list of all the persons, That I could recall today, Whom I slighted, marred or blighted, Carelessly along the way.
One by dint of word unspoken, In a thank you for some aid, One when silence would serve better, Than the critical upbraid.
Random judgements made to measure, Pleasing to the baying crowd, Let me take them back and savour, Peace that comes when ego's bowed.
Seeing virtue in the other, That was present all the time, Let me focus less on their faults, Let me concentrate on mine.
Pardon all the indiscretions, Pride insisted I display, Since the clock can't be rewinded, Let me make amends today.
